Waaaaaah, this took me all day and I'm really proud of it! 8D
The characters are Kuroyuri (the pink one) and Haruse (the blue one) from 07-Ghost, which is an amazing manga that you should definitely read if you haven't already. *shamelessly promotes in artist's comments*

Anyway, the posting of this picture will signify my return from my annual summer dA-neglection. >_> Tomorrow morning I'll go through my deviations and journals (can't say I'll comment, but I'll definitely look! 8D).

*Ahem* Back to artwork-related things...

I really love these two. They're both so cute. xD;;; I was coloring it this afternoon and my sister walked by, took one look at Kuroyuri and went. "...What is he wearing?!" And I was all. ">_> Uh...." I didn't want to draw them in their military uniforms because those have collars and for some reason I can be weird about blocking profile-necks. xD; I really did look at the civilian clothes in the manga for reference, and I did use bits of it, but I also improvised on some of it. Like the stripes. I guess the clothes don't necessarily fit with the setting, but I wanted them to be casual and happy and fluffy and adorable. And I'm really, really happy with Kuroyuri's hands. :3

Anyway, that's enough long-winded chatter for now. Let me know what you think, please! I want to get better!

Though I'm not TOO fond of the pairing, they are still so cute together!

The hands are totally win, the coloring is so awesome too! :'D Oh man.

Uhhhh... I dunno what to critic about besides the sideways angle of the head. Dunno... it just doesn't seem 100% correct.

Ah, babe it's so cute!
I really love it.
I think Haruse's legs might be a little too thin but oh well whatever.
The background is seriously awesome.
I love the coloring and the shading as well.
Ah. I also love how they're almost kissing and how it's clear they're going to but just.. aren't yet.
Damn manga skimping out on the kissing.
We need a fandom name for these guys, I think.

Yeah... I'm still working on figuring out head angles and perspective and whatnot. It's definitely one of my weak points, but I figure if I do it more, I'll get better at it.

Yay, thanks! Yeah, I have some difficulties with proportions as well, particularly leg thickness. He's probably too thin, period. xD;; I think he's a little stockier in the manga.

Damn manga, indeed. It's clear that they did, though! 8D
And a fandom name? You mean like HaruKuro or HaruYuri or something? HaYu... KuroHaru... HaKu wouldn't work because it's too much like Hakuren... darn it, see what you've got me doing? xD;;

Oooh, HaruKu isn't bad at all. It has quite a ring to it, I think. I also like HaruYuri, although it's not quite as fun to say...
