So...
I lied. Sorry. ._.

I ended up not having as much time the day I said I would return from my summerly dA neglect. But, I'm back now, having sorted through my deviations and journals and messages and deemed it appropriate to post a journal now. So prepare for a long one as I ramble about the stuff that's gone on over the summer.

I got a job, so that sped the summer along quite a bit. I worked in an ice cream place next to a baseball field. I HATE baseball, but in this town there's no escaping it. -_- The best thing to do is accept it. I made a good amount, though, so that's good.

I bought a laptop off my friend for cheaps, and so far it's working really well! The only thing that needed fixing was the wireless card, which is a factory error with this model (or something like that), so I ended up buying a USB wireless thingy. The significance of this laptop, though, is now I have my own computer and can do whatever I want on it without having to worry about parents coming along and discovering my ways. I've already looked at a ton of yaoi.

I also bought all four DVDs of Baccano!, which is really really amazing and you should watch it if you haven't. It's about a ton of insane criminals crammed into one train called the Flying Pussyfoot. I don't remember if I've mentioned it already or not, but, oh well. Aaaaand I found all seven volumes of the manga FAKE on Ebay for... thirty dollars. That is amazing. I really love that manga. My mom decided that she was going to read them first when I got them, buuuut then figured "what's the point?" when she found out that I've already read it. xD

I doodled a lot on the order pads at work on slow days, so maybe I'll upload some of those into scraps. On one day I ended up doing an entire scene filling up the entire piece of paper, which is a first for me, even if the paper was small.

Tokio Hotel is coming out with a new album, Humanoid, this October, and judging from the single that's been released, Automatic, I think I'm going to like it. I'm excited for it! Bill is still so beautiful. :3

The 07-Ghost anime is progressing nicely, there are a few disappointments but overall it's lovely! That girl who came in, Ouka, has given a hint that maybe, just maybe, she'll turn out to be a fujoshi and we won't have to tear out her eyes! 8D So that's good.

School started on Tuesday, we already have quite a bit of homework. I'm really glad it's the weekend. :D So far, I've met another anime fan, to whom I've lent the first volume of FAKE to cycle through to her friends as well as the first volume of 07-Ghost. I hope they like them and I get my manga back undamaged. ._. That's my paranoia. I've also met two more yaoi fangirls in my school! Kyaah! 8DDD

I have a bunch of oneshots I've written over the summer (a bunch meaning maybe three) that I'll post when I have time and the motivation. I'm currently watching some episodes of Naruto for the winner of the fanfiction I donated to the MelloxMatt contest, I've got a few episodes left to watch and then I'll write the fanfiction. I think Mimi and I were also thinking of sticking up companion pieces we mailed to each other. ;D

Waaaaah, I went to see District 9 after it came out, and it was soooooo good! This is definitely my new favorite movie. I went to see it three times this summer, and my mom doesn't want to let me go to see it a fourth, though I so would. I'm definitely buying it when it comes out on DVD, and I can't wait for that! It really isn't your typical "aliens-come-and-destroy-the-earth" type of plotline, and the main character is just so very human. It made me cry all three times. xD;;

I've come up with a ton of silly ideas this summer, mainly when roleplaying with :iconsoulphoenixfire:, because she'll say something funny or I'll say something horribly stupid that was intended to be funny and suddenly be compelled to draw it. So I might post those. And I need to post a semi-not-really-chibi drawing of Ren and Darius to commemorate the completion of I Hate Everything About You (But Really Don't)! Yaaay! 8D

I'm also currently working on a request AMV for Mimi. Maybe I'll link it when it's finished. xP Though I doubt a lot of you would be very interested in that. Though, it's really annoying that when I tell Windows Media Player to separate an imported video into clips, it sticks it into clips that run up to five minutes long! I don't like that, then I have to go through and split each clip into smaller pieces, and that takes foreeeeever! Blah! Does anyone else have this problem, and do they know how to fix it, if there is a way?

Anyway, I'm off to solicit on the chatrooms. All the roleplays I'm uke in are temporarily dead, and in the other three I'm the seme or the guy, so I'm currently suffering uke-withdrawal. Thanks for sticking with me, see you all later! :aww: :glomp:

This is broadly true. But Heaven has the best choreographers.

*gasp*

My friend lent me a copy of a book called Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I finished it on Saturday.

And it was sooooooooooo gooooooood! I absolutely loved it!

I am definitely going to be buying a copy after I start my job. (Which I haven't heard back from the boss from yet, by the way...)

It's about an Angel and a Demon who are friends and band together to try and avert the Apocalypse. The problem is, they've misplaced the Antichrist.

It's really quite a fun book. Quite funny. Not ten minutes after I finished I wanted to read it again.

>_>

But I didn't want to read it by myself, I wanted to share it. So I called Lizzy, because I think she'd like it and she tells me she likes "Meg-Read-Alouds," as we have dubbed them, only she didn't pick up. And I was sad.

But I will try again tonight! *waves spoon around madly*

Anyway, the point is you should all find a copy and read it. It's great. Or I will prod you with my spoon. *holds it threateningly*

And I have decided that I am going to name one of my future children Aziraphale. Preferably a son. Isn't that such a pretty name?

Oh, and by the way, the quote at the top of the page isn't mine either. It's from Good Omens. As you might have guessed.

In other news, I've watched all 117 episodes of Kyou Kara Maou, which is very lovely as well. I've also been keeping up with the 07-Ghost episodes, and they're wonderful so far, ignoring the minor deviations from the manga. Except now they're about to get sad. T_T

Buuuuuuut! Oh my gosh, Kuroyuri's voice was soooooo cuuuuuuuute! *melts into a puddle of fangirl* I thought it fit him so well. :aww: He's so adorable!

Hmm... what else...

Ah! I've lent the first volume of Death Note to my English teacher. (She says that since she makes us read books that it's only fair we make her read them too.) She's somewhat scornful of the whole manga concept, although she's the one who brought it up that this was my chance to make her read some. So we'll have to see how she likes it. :D

Also, the lovely Mimi (~BenevolentMalice) and I have been working on an incredibly lovely roleplay, and we'll be fixing it into chapter forms and taking turns posting them. (By the way, Mimi... was this the one we were going to collaborate, chapter-form on, in the first place? If it is, I guess it just sort of got turned into a roleplay... and if it's not, do you remember what we were going to do that for?) I'll try and have the first one up soon. It's about a pair of assassins and they're quite a lot of fun to mess with. 8D

I also have some other writing pieces that I'll put up soon. If anyone thinks my writing would be good enough to buy, you should let me know- I've been thinking about doing writing-commissions. I just don't know how to charge for them, otherwise I'd have had a proper journal up about them already. :)

I'll update my Friends/Watchers/Clubs journal soon, I promise. In the meantime, thanks for reading this far, and I love you all! :glomp:

Kyaaaaaah!

07-Ghost anime, episode one is out! :boogie: :excited: :w00t: :icondweebdanceplz:

It's not subbed yet, but whatever! I know what's going on anyway. I've read the manga.

*fangirls*

It's wonderful! I was reduced to a shivering mass of pure fangirl while I was watching it. :D And then I watched it again, and called Mimi, and then fangirled with her for a while. There was lots of squealing. xDDD The opening and ending themes were both amazing! And Kuroyuri was sleeping in Haruse's arms again in the ending theme. :aww: *dies of cuteness* Not to mention Saiga Mitsuki plays Teito~~~~

I don't want to wait another whole week before the next one. That one has Frau, and Labrador, and Castor and Lazette!

I'm soooooo happy and excited! (Just in case you couldn't tell. :D) I can't wait for it to be subbed and for the next one to come out!

If you haven't yet, you should all go read it! :boogie: It's wonderful!!

Advice?

Yay!

So, at dinner I asked again about being able to do writing commissions. When I asked a few weeks ago my mom had told me to submit work to a magazine, but that idea just really doesn't appeal to me at all. :bleh: I dunno why. My dad thinks it's a good idea, since I love to write he said that it'd be a good way to make some money (I'm fairly confident that people would buy my writing >_> ) and he has no problem with it. I don't think my mom really has an objection to it, either, I'm not sure why she'd rather have me submit things to magazines.

Either way, I'd really like all your opinions on this. :aww:

Also, what do you guys think would be an appropriate price? Obviously it would depend on the request, but shouldn't there be a starting price, with added bits depending on other variables, like how long it takes? Or something...

Also, I don't have a PayPal or anything, and I think you need to be 18 for one of those. I could always ask my parents to set one up for me, but I'd like to know if there are any other options you guys might know of.

Thanks in advance! :glomp:
